Sponge cake Recipe – Pan di Spagna

Sponge cake is a dessert liked by everybody, adults and children. We can fill the middle of this dessert with various creams, and we can decorate this dessert as one may desire, or simply we can enjoy it just as it is.

  • 75 g of flour
  • 75 g of potato starch
  • 6 eggs
  • 5 g vanilla powder
  • 150 g of sugar
  • 5 g salt

Përgatitja

  • We take a glass bowl where we put the eggs with the sugar, and a little salt. We beat the eggs strongly with the electric mixer, for approximately 15 minutes until we obtain a swollen light yellow colored mixture. In another bowl, we mix the flour with the starch and vanilla and, using a strainer, we put it on the eggs. We mix them carefully and slowly. We take a round bakeware, with a diameter of 24 cm, we grease it with a little butter and flour, and we put the prepared mixture in it. We put the bakery in the oven that has been heated previously, 180 °C for 35 - 40 minutes.
